From the sofa to the red carpet! Scarlett Moffatt’s pre-NTAs diary

The Gogglebox star is now a part of the action - and she's VERY excited about it

Scarlett Moffatt‘s incredible time over the past 12 months is well-documented – a bestselling book, three stone weight loss and being crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity are just three incredible examples.

But now, it’s time to add another onto her list of accomplishments, as the Gogglebox favourite is preparing to flex her hosting skills by reporting live from backstage at the NTAs – and fans are just as excited as she is about it!

Luckily, she’s been updating her followers every step of the way up until the ceremony on Wednesday evening (25th January) – and just so you don’t miss it, we’ve compiled some of the best bits of Scarlett’s road from the sofa to the red carpet!

Scarlett, 26, began her journey when she first announced that she’d be taking care of bringing backstage gossip to the people, on 9th January.

Taking to her Twitter profile, she wrote to fans: ‘So excited! I’m hosting backstage at the @OfficialNTAs I can’t wait! I’ve never even been to an awards ceremony never mind help host one!’

Ahh Scarlett – ever so humble! But it wasn’t long before it was time to get to work, as less than a week later (on 12th January), she had to go and get fitted for her ear piece – can’t do much presenting if she can’t hear what’s going on, of course!

Fast-forward to Monday (23rd January), and it was time to get kitted out with a glam new outfit…

…soon to be followed by a rehearsal with the hosting pro, Dermot O’Leary. Gotta learn from the best!

Tuesday also saw Scarlett checking into her dressing room at London’s O2 Arena, where the NTAs are held – and it’s clearly a big moment for the I’m A Celebrity queen:

‘Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have my own dressing room at the O2. Backstage presenting & head of social media!!! I can’t believe it.’

But sadly, a mishap with the dress meant that on Tuesday night, poor Scar was back on the hunt for a new outfit!

And now, at long last, the big day has arrived – and we think someone’s feeling excited…

After responding to some kind and encouraging words from fans, Scarlett then realised that she’d be sitting near to a near-hometown legend, ex-footballer Alan Shearer!

Talk about Geordie power!
